Small Fry by Lisa Brennan-Jobs. This is a memoir authored by the daughter of Steve Jobs. While a lot of attention has been paid to the poor way that Mr. Jobs treated his daughter, Lisa Brennan-Jobs also had a mother with profound mental and emotional problems. I usually don’t read this type of book (books centered on emotions and relationships), but once I started, I found the book poignant and interesting. And sad. Growing up with a foundation of unconditional love from my parents, I didn’t have the deep problems that she had to face. If you are interested in the personal life and personality of Steve Jobs, then this is a good book for you. If you are mainly interested in how he worked to develop great products, I’d recommend Creative Selection instead.
