In Class: PM Processes

As a classroom exercise:

  • Handout a page with a table of the PM Processes (below is a compressed (zip) file with Apple Pages and MSWord versions of the PM Processes table). I print on a tabloid size (11x17) paper so it is legible and there is room for students to take notes.
  • Print out a copy of the PM Process powerpoint (also included in the compressed file below in PowerPont and Apple Pages formats) and handout to students (usually 2-4 processes per student depending on the size of the class). Write the process groups on the whiteboard at the front of the class. As you call out the processes have students come up and tape their process to the whiteboard. Talk about each one as they place them (what tools are used, activities, etc.). Students not at the board can take notes on the Process Table.
  • Alternatively, you can have students research the activities, tools, etc., associated with each process group before class and describe those to the class when taping their processes to the board.
